Ravir’s take on fashion is a little different to the mainstream. We certainly don’t follow the trends - instead the focus is on comfort and style.
For winter we are constantly on the lookout for warm clothing that is practical for life in the upper Blue Mountains. Our winter range attracts not only locals but visitors from Sydney and the Central West who rely on the quality and range of clothing.
Our knitwear is second to none judging by the comments from our regular customers, who often comment on the lack of quality knitwear and winter clothing in general in the larger shopping centres.
Our staples from year to year include Toorallie’s wonderful wool/denim pants and knitwear, and possum/merino garments from the top suppliers in New Zealand. Another staple is Tani, which supplies a range of affordable staples made from Austrian beechwood. The fabric is micro-modal and is a joy to wear in both summer and winter.
Summer at Ravir is a different story, as we move from warm woollies to linen, cotton, hemp and bamboo. Much of our linen comes from Europe, the US and Asia. The exception is Valia which is made in Melbourne.
Our cotton range includes exquisitely soft cotton slub tees, cotton shirts, skirts, dresses and pants. Bamboo fabric is another favourite, with its smooth soft feel, and great styles and colours to mix and match with the lighter fabrics.
